Frank Durda IV was a fountain of knowledge about all things TRS-80!!! Especially if you had a question about the disk operating systems, Frank
was the best one to ask!!!

So sad to hear this about Frank. He was always such a help with anything TRS-80 related, and was so invaluable that years ago, as a youngster, I could shoot him an e-mail with silly questions or whatever, and he truly became a friend. He helped develop a
true love of the Tandy machines for me!

ISTM Frank used to have an internet server "lonestar" that operated in
the Dallas Texas area. It ran on an ATT 3B2 and was also a Usenet node.
One could obtain a *free* account on it and read/post Usenet messages.

Sorry to hear that. I kept hoping for a book on his time at Tandy.

Wow. This is really sad news. Looking back over the last 13 years of comp.sys.tandy (my news server has great retention), Frank is possibly
the most prolific - and accurate - poster here. Certainly in the top 3.

Frank definitely belongs in the TRS-80 Hall Of Fame. Along with Tim
Mann, Roy Soltoff, Steve Leininger, Don French and many others.

Anyone have any personal stories/memories to share?

I have a ROM and envelope addressed to Roy Soltoff from Frank Durda IV. Maybe a few other things. You can see at Kennett Classic musuem with Roy's TRS 80 model 4 and a few related artifacts.
