• Atari Usenet Phoenix

I would like to see this Atari ST (16/32 bit) usenet group rise from the
ashes! Usenet has always been my preferred method of communication. I
know so much is web-based and sexy these days, but can't we just have
some old-fashioned flame wars and interesting discussions like the days of
old? This is now the underground. Let's start talking. Let's talk
about anything and everything Atari 16/32. Don't let it die. I know
you are watching! What are you working on? What do you hope for?
Come on folks, we need to get something going here besides the old
Bravo Sierra crap that may have killed this place.

Over the years, so many have answered questions that have saved my ass!
How about you? How about talking about it?

    Let's go!

Sorry Joe, but I gave the last of my ST stuff away, and only
occasionally use an emulator to run OSS Pascal.

The Atari machines were fun during the late '80s and '90s, but
are now relics of the past.

I still have my Hades 060, and it's up and running.

Rarely if ever use it, but about 3 months ago, a Mac user I know gave me
6 Windows floppies to get photos from. Every Windows computer she tried couldn't read them, but my Vista computer would read 3 of them.

I have some graphic program installed, and darned if that program didn't
read the damaged files. It was able to pull the image data, but the
metadata was lost. She was a happy camper, as I burned all the images
    to a CD for her.

I wish I had the time to use it more, I still miss using it. I've got
an HP/Compaq 9500 CRT attached for a monitor.

I wish someone had developed an interface for the Hades that let you
connect the SLM804 laser, as I still have mine.

I suspect too many people don't even know what the Usenet is, anymore. :-(
