On early Mac Systems, the AppleTalk driver was called .MPP. Despite much
googling and delving though Inside Macintosh, I've been unable to figure
out what MPP actually stands for. Anyone know?

Somehow “Mac Peer-to-Peer” comes to mind. However, that was dug out of deep recesses of my memory, and is probably something quite different.
can
confirm this?

a Freudian slip is when you say one thing but you're really thinking about a mother.no, a Freudian slip is sexy underwear your mother wears
The fellow who designed it was not happy with the assignment. He wanted
to work on schedulers and other real time aspects of the system.
When he had to name the extension, he used the initials of his mother in
law, 1 letter off. (Nancy Quincy Quartermaine).

did the file name extension was too deeply coded and all over release candidates and too much of a mess to cleanup.
