Never used google news IIRC, nice to hear from you again Boss
Hi !
Don't know if I told already: I recently revived my IBM 5155 Portable PC >(which I owned for over 30 years) along with an Epson FX-800 printer (I
owned for almost 40 years), Epson CX-21 acoustic coupler (dating back to >Pre-PC-ages).

Therefore my next victim ... err ... rework object might be one of my
PS/2s. As I read the Lacuna board has a notorious capacitor problem I
might dig out the 77i I used for early analog records to MP3 conversions >along with the IBM M-ACPA.
Being almost 64 years old and *still* not booked for retirement >(unfortunately) my time schedule is quite tight. The job always comes in
the way. Yes - I am still working for the same company I did achieve my
PS/2 skills from. Will be 37 years by October 1st this year.
And - in addition - I spent most of my "silent years" PS/2-wise with >repairing hifi gear and record players. Where I accumulated a *huge* >collection of almost 80 stand-alone record players + some in combinations.

This 5-year-old video might give some insights ...

I didn't like Google groups that much anyway - and it is not my style to >"feed the clowns".
Let's see what the future brings.

Boring. Nothing but word games. I've done some fairly disjointed posts,:-))
but this stuff is past me.

I moved from eternal september to Kevin's NNTP server
(http://csiph.com/), but both of them work fine.
Google Groups was (and still is) useful for searching through old posts. Their history goes quite deep - circa 1991. And while the web interface
was very primitive, it was convenient for some people. Unfortunately,
the API was also used by spam bots...
