Hmm, I might snag a couple...

Hmm, I might snag a couple...

And strange for the IBM marking, these are actually 3.3/5VDC PCI boards...

In the auction image, the silkscreen of the PCI dual voltages are visible. It is a prototyping board, so maybe the 'extra' PCB and traces could be made into 16-bit microchannel with an AVE connector that hangs out if used anyway - if the voltage and
ground backplanes aren't tied into the bus pins too badly (and that can be changed too).

And then we get to the adapter position on the bus...

    Haha, yep, they sure are!

Something about the formfactor didn't look quite right to me... and sure
enough - what's the component side on a Micro Channel board is marked as
"pin side" here, and then there's the 3.3V rail. So yeah...

Shame, the price was right and the seller is shipping to the Czech
    Republic for once... oh well.

The pin counts / key positions will be different too. PCI uses a
    slightly different connector than MCA...

I did order one - in addition to the 32-bit MCA version - and can see if I keep it for being an IBM oddity or return it as falsely advertised. At least I have a better potential on a return too, based on location. Did more people buy any?

I was about to go through the auctions, check how exactly are the boards designed, and possibly grab two or three, but didn't in the end... (with
    all the other distractions happening)
