• Get on the bus! [system board SCSI vs slot]

From Louis Ohland@21:1/5 to All on Tue Jan 31 07:42:32 2023
I'm not as advanced as some.

If I have a system with system board SCSI, and one with slot mounted
    SCSI, is there any advantage?

FAIK, there is no "local bus" SCSI, akin to dual path memory...

    https://www.ardent-tool.com/docs/pdf/ps2book.pdf page 4,

All: SCSI-2 (not Fast; not Wide; 5 MB per second maximum burst data
transfer rate using 8 bit bus)

All: 16 bit to Micro Channel / busmaster / integrated on planar / uses proprietary local bus at 25 MHz
