We’re looking for EXPERT level Kafka experience.

We need candidates to have created executable programs within Kafka. Ideal candidates will have backgrounds in Java 8, REST, NoSQL, Kafka, and functional programming in Clojure, Haskell, or Erlang. Not necessarily Hadoop experts, but candidates who have
created or replaced new messaging platforms using Kafka are desired.

Strong open source integration experience. Experience with Big data is necessary, i.e. NoSQL, Spark, Kafka, etc. Extensive ELT experience is also a plus! (Extract, Load, Transform (ELT) is a data integration process for transferring raw data from a
source server to a data warehouse on a target server and then preparing the information for downstream uses.)

*This project is creating a KAFKA messaging service from scratch.. rewriting an ingestion framework and developing a Custom ELT solution for over 100 jobs a month.

• Extensive Kafka development and integration experience- creating small executable programs in Kafka.
• Java 8 / REST / Microservices
• Strong Agile / TDD / Pair Programming background
• ELT experience is a plus
• Ideal candidates will have Functional Programming experience (Erlang, Clojure, Haskell)
• Passion for emerging technologies and excellent communication skills
