ICSE, the International Conference on Software Engineering, is the premier software engineering conference, providing a forum for researchers, practitioners and educators to present and discuss the most recent innovations, research, experiences, trends
and concerns in the field of software engineering.
ICSE 2019 will address “The next 50 years for Software Engineering”.
Traditional ICSE highlights include the prestigious Technical Track, Software Engineering in Practice, Software Engineering Education and Training, Software Engineering in Society, New Ideas and Emerging Results, Student Research Competition, Technical
Briefings, Posters, and Demonstrations. New attractions in 2019 include an Industry Program for advanced practitioners and researchers who are interested in industry-relevant challenges, a Student Mentoring Workshop, and Artifact Evaluation of artifacts
associated with accepted Technical Track papers.
ICSE will be held at the iconic Fairmont - The Queen Elizabeth Hotel in the heart of downtown. Montréal itself is a destination city that is famous for its festivals, gastronomic scene, jazz bars, vibrant nightlife, cultural heritage, and outdoor
activities. It has an exceptionally large local software engineering research community, and it is home to a thriving ICT sector that comprises roughly 5000 companies. It is the perfect city to host ICSE.
