Hi all,
I agree that its normally a good comment ground to not let a modality change data received through MWL (e.g. compare
https://www.medicalconnections.co.uk/kb/Manual-Editing-Of-MWL-Data). However, I am currently targetting a modality that allows to add
comments about the patient through its UI and I would like to preserve this functionality even if a patient item was received through MWL.
So I plan to include (0010,4000) within the worklist request and if the SCP does provide a return value for it, I would use that value as the initial input for the UI text field. Do you see any possible problems arrising if the operator is then capable
of altering the complete Patient Comments value, including deletion? Or would it better to let the operator only append to the given comments value, and handle the received value as read-only?
Best regards,
Morty
