Intel is reportedly about to acquire Granulate, a startup specializing in cloud optimization, for some $650 million

"US tech giant Intel is set to strike a deal to buy Israeli startup Granulate for some $650 million. Intel hopes to gain an additional edge in the cloud and data center markets with this acquisition of Granulate, a software startup that optimizes complex
and legacy workloads for modern CPUs. The start-up claims that, in cloud and on-premises environments, its software can improve response times by up to 40%, as well as throughput by up to five times. It claims it can do this while reducing workload costs
by up to 60%. Its clients include Microsoft, IBM, Google, Datadog and Intel. With Intel, it built the Intel-Agen t, a version of its software for servers using Intel processors. "Being part of Intel, Granulate will be able to bring autonomous
optimization capabilities to even more customers around the world and rapidly expand its offering with the help of Intel's 19,000 software engineers," said said Asaf Ezra, co-founder and CEO of Granulate."
