Hi,
when $WORKPLACE got ip connectivity, somebody decided adhering to the organigramm was a good idea. Since the resulting department domain name
was not really typeable, an alias domain was created for mail addresses,
and we can get a CNAME in that shorter domain.
Fast forward to Kerberos service: General recommendation appears to be
that the Kerberos realm should be a large-caps version of the DNS
domain. Is there any downside if we go with the shorter domain?
