vxWorks6.3 based TCP server not able to connect to more than 8 TCP clie

I am facing a weird issue that my TCP server (vxWorks 6.3) running on CHAMP AV IV board is connecting to 8 clients simulatneously, but my 9th client is not able to connect to the server. In netstatShow() at server end it is showing that the socket is in
Listen state but not accepting 9th connection.
Can anybody throw some light on this? I already checked by changing the NUM_FILES param from 50 to 100.
I am using workbench 2.5 for developement and C language.
