• [cov] Spam adaptation test - please ignore

This is a spam adaptain test, please ignore.

    Whilst using:

    https://www.i2pn2.org/

    and

    https://www.eternal-september.org/

to weather the spam storm, however, I'm still monitoring my c.o.v.
newsfeed via my NewsGroupDirect (NGD) block account, out of morbid
curiousity, which the admins of such, most certainly, are not on top
of things, and there's been circa 62K spams since the 28th of
    November.

I just blindly scoop up all the spam and move it to a SPAM folder, and
then filter it for a few c.o.v specific keywords to see if there has
been some baby bathwater collateral damage.

A few of the spams do reference "comp.os.vms" but they are relatively
    rare.

Anyway, FWIW, the spam adaptation test is to see whether adding a
fixed prefix to the subject line will make it easy to filter, using
only one keyword, rathering the fishing for posts with multiple
    keywords.

    That's about it!

Conclusion: it's a kludge, but it does enable finding the wheat in the
    chaff.

So RFC: If everyone commits to the discipline of using an agreed
prefix, such as [cov] to the subject line, then signal is far less
likely to fall through the cracks (abusing too many metaphors) when
engaging in bulk spam management operations.

"kludge" is probably an apt description.

So RFC: If everyone commits to the discipline of using an agreed
prefix, such as [cov] to the subject line, then signal is far less

Relying on people to follow a process is prone to error. It's a matter
of when someone will forget / it will fail. There is effectively no
    "if" involved.

No, I don't have a better solution, save for filtering all GG. :-(
