I just got the current issue of PC Magazine which has a massive Windows 3.1 headline spanning the cover with a smaller OS/2 2.0 "Can It Compete?"
box in the corner. They listed out some reasons to buy/not to buy Windows and OS/2. (Two reasons not to buy OS/2 were Unix offers a 32-bit operating system, too and ridiculous installation (as if that wasn't a problem with Unix).
[etc.]
there will be an "international tools conference" whatever that is
in burlingame, ca may 5-7 (ad in sunday merc business section).
it is an os2 2.0 conference and the panel discussion is: "developing corporate applications on os2 2.0". (yes, more corporate emphasis).
now the point of the subject line; this panel features:
sam whitmore, editor in chief, pc week
jim louderback, director pc week labs
peter coffee, director pc week corporate labs
plus: unnamed others.
will os2 get a positive hearing at an os2 conference? maybe some
pc week subscribers should go and put the screws to the pc week
brass.
