• Upgrading WARPIN Applications

From PaulRS@21:1/5 to All on Mon Mar 28 23:27:07 2016
It looks like to upgrade to the newest "Firefox" I also need to
upgrade "gcc4core." I have 1_3_0 and the new one is 1_3_1. My
question is that they are both "wpi" WARPIN files. The old one has
    several entries in the database.

Can I install the new GCC4core library OVER the old one. OR do I need
to figure out everything from the old GCC4core and uninstall it first
    before installing the newest library.

I have never upgraged a WARPIN application . . . some help please

    Paul

You should be able to just upgrade over the old one. Probably Warpin
will complain that some of the DLLs are locked, let it unlock them and
upgrade them and then _reboot_. Same with any other Warpin archives you
update such as libc, reboot if a DLL is in use to make sure the new one
    is being used.
Of course also make sure the Warpin installed DLLs are close to the
beginning of the LIBPATH and watch for duplicates that might get loaded.
