I am trying to figure out the Panorama EDID. I just replaced my 14" T60 with another 15" T60 containing an ATI Technologies Inc - Mobility Radeon X1400 video card.
Previous T60 embedded card:
- scaled correctly to 1920x1080 on my external Samsung (LS24F350) monitor at 16 bpp
- would not work for 32bpp, as the display was corrupted
- maybe insufficient video memory or frequency
New T60 with ATI:
- Panorama sees the external display as 1920x1440
- works well at 32 bpp
- as expected, off the top and bottom

(these are the T60 panel's dimensions)
[C:\]panoutil -s
Status on drive C:
Custom resolution logic is enabled.
Use Native Resolution is disabled
Manual custom resolution 1920x1080 is set.
No manual EDID is set.
PM Resolution is set to: 1920x1080 @ 16777216 colors
- The Samsung display dimension's are 52 cm x 29.5 cm
- The display converge is actually 46 cm x 29.5 cm
- Windows works perfectly

-e 0|Clk,H,V,Hbl,Vbl,Hof,Hw,Vof,Vw [d:] : Set custom EDID on drive d:
- What are those switches and their proper formats?
- From the Samsung BN46-00552E-Eng.pdf
Resolution Horizontal Frequency kHz) Vertical Frequency Hz) Pixel lock (MMHz) Sync Polarity H/V)
VESA DMT, 1920 x 1080 67.500 60.000 148.500 +/+
- I would like to use the above switch to set a custom EDID
- What should the panoutil -e look like?
- I tried what I thought:
[C:\]panoutil -e 148.5, 1920, 1080, 32, 22, 67.5, 1, 60, 1, c:
Cannot get status on file 1:\OS2\OS2.INI
Cannot get status on file 1:\OS2\OS2.INI
Does anyone have any suggestions?
thanks,
Baden
