Hi,
Just a test, not sure I'm sending this correctly. Just wanted to see
if this gets through.
Google Groups is a mess. It's not very useful when flooded with
irrelevant spam. I know there are alternatives, but subscribing (via
email) to the mailing list seemed like the most practical answer (so
far).
Anyone still reading here?

I'm reading it via the mailing list. It evidently gets through, at
least your message did.
is not uncommon for admins to block gmail addresses as that deals with
most of the spam.

That's what I did for this list ;-)
Does that mean this won't go through?
Just FYI, Google Groups now says this when I visit:
"Effective February 15, 2024, Google Groups will no longer support new
Usenet content. Posting and subscribing will be disallowed, and new
content from Usenet peers will not appear. Viewing and searching of historical data will still be supported as it is done today."
And leads to this URL:

It's dead, Jim.
