• Is there interest in a blog?

Some people have suggested that we have a blog in which people could
post items telling what they were working on, how far they were etc.
These would generally be longer and more technical than the newsgroup,
which is mostly for asking and answering questions. A number of
open-source projects have a blog and it seems to work well there.

I'd like to gauge interest in this before setting it up. Do you think
this is a good idea? Would you be interested in posting items to it from
    time to time?

    Thanks.

Well, the newsgroup is mostly lurkers who will respond to interesting
enough questions (and a resident troll/graffitist who actually does most
of the posting.) They might move to lurking in a blog. There are some good people here so their comments on projects/code would be useful.

It's possible it might draw out some people working on projects that
haven't felt the need to post their progress here.
