Intellisense is switched off, first thing, ASAP.
Word wrapping is toggled on&off; 99.999 % of the time it's off.
Outlining, syntax highlighting & line numbering are always off, never on. CtrlWheel zooms in&out.

I found it bloated, intrusive, and annoying.

Using vim, GNU autools/libtool, qmake, or meson from
a terminal window is much more pleasant to me. YMMV
