You don't like _Sioxie and the Banshees_? Sure, no accounting for taste.
    I happen to like them.

As far as "alternative" music, I like B-52s and Beck.

Progressive rock - I love Yes and some Tool.

Also like REM and Blondie and INXS and Natalie Merchant and Technotronic
and Tracy Chapman and Harry Connick Jr and Madonna and Patsy Cline.

Also, if you don't like her and her band: I hate you, and all the
    bands that you like.

Seriously, though: what's not to like?

    Her voice and her music.

(Assuming you're an 80's kid, like I am.)

    I'm a 70's kid (ages 8 to 18).

I don't like all her music. But I like a few choice favorites that
when I play them for my friends, they remember the tunes from way back.

The song about Pompeii and what they must have gone through is chilling, "Cities in Dust".

Among many other firsts, unforgettable experiences with sex, drugs and
rock n' roll make the 70's one of my favorite decades.

I turned two in 1979, so I have little memory of the decade, but I
love a lot of the '70s music. Couple years ago I bought Rick James'
first album as MP3s, it was amazing, he appreciated me 40+ years in
    the future.

I never heard of a Rick James song about mentally ill White wackjobs who
claim they're Jesus, claim they're black, and claim their girlfriends
have cocks. What's that song called?
