• Measures of success with Linux

I've noticed one froup denizen crow that he lets Linux
automatically update his system while he takes care
    of scatological bodily functions.

I'm wondering if that is a true measure of success.

I submit to a candid world that one should refer to
    him as "Linux Pooper".

All kidding aside, I had done he-man Linux for many years,
starting with RH Linux, then Fedora Core, and ongoing into
the Fedora years. Do you know what was necessary just to play
an mp3 with Fedora? Ah, fun times.

Then I discovered Red Hat was altering openssl for their distributions, (including Fedora), removing the ECC code. Well, I needed ECC, so
I jumped ship to Linux Mint, which came highly recommended. That
was my daily driver for many years.

When I bought this new workstation, it came with Ubuntu. I tried
that for a while, but kept running into issues that I knew wouldn't
be a problem using Mint. Installed Mint on the second drive, and that's
    been my daily driver again.

I did have to hold back video drivers, so Starfield will continue
to run properly. Knock on wood and not to tempt fate, I think this
    system is dialed-in now.

One thing I do a lot with this system is videoconferencing. I
feel less like a red-headed stepchild running Linux, now that
    Zoom for Linux has backgrounds.
