People are lazy dumb-fucks. They don't want to lift a finger
    to do anything.

Microslop creates a system where lazy dumb-fucks don't have
    to lift a finger.

Microsoft succeeds (but their system can only match the lazy
    dumb-fuck).

With GNU/Linux one has to lift many fingers -- and hands, arms,
legs, and feet. With GNU/Linux the system is a magnificent
choreography of parts that must be deftly orchestrated.

The lazy dumb-fucks can only say: Duh? Huh? Wha?

    wtf?

Nearly all Linux distros aim for that same goal.

One does NOT have to work hard to install and run Linux.

When it invariably fucks up is when the fun begins - and this is true
    for Windows as well.

If you had the GuhNoo balls you claim to have, you wouldn't run to the Python-based Portage to administer your Gentoo crapbox. But since
you're a "lazy dumb-fuck" you type a couple short commands and it does everything for you. Then you come to cola and whine that others are lazy.

    What an asshole.

Larry Pietraskiewicz is a lazy asshole because instead of developing
software using only 0s and 1s, he uses a programming language. What a
    fucking clown!

Pay close attention and you'll see the fuckhead uses GUI stuff
frequently. In yesterday's Feeb vid, he was so proud of his
floating/cascading menu that gave him quick access to apps, so he didn't
have to open a terminal and remember and type the commands to launch them.

Yesterday I was prepping a 12-year-old Dell Inspiron 660 to give to
somebody. It had no hard drive, so I put Win7 on an old HDD. Mistake -
that thing grinded and grinded and grinded.

With the HDD, it was literally a 2-hour process to check for updates and install them (112). After that ordeal I remembered I had an older SSD
(duh!), so I put it in as the boot drive C: and moved the HDD as the
data drive D:. Installing Win7 onto the SSD from a USB key was about 10 minutes. Nice. And it made a huge difference - that old 6GB RAM
computer running Win7 is about as fast as my 10-year-newer AMD system
running Win10 on 16GB. No exaggeration. Didn't run the 112 updates
again, but I'm sure it would take half the time.

I might even revert back to Win7 for a while and see how I like it as a
daily driver. It's long ago unsupported, and it may be a pain to find
newer software for it, but I always liked it.

The biggest joke/snafu I ran into yesterday was due to MS and Windows.
The 'Media Creation Tool' wouldn't run on Win7, apparently due to TLS versioning issues. MS made an 'Easy Fix' (LMAO) available - that didn't
work. Other suggestions I found online were Registry editing, enabling services, and running as Admin. I couldn't get any of it to work - big
waste of time just to download an .iso from the MS website.

MS gets in your way sometimes, no doubt about that.

Exactly! The lout is definitely a "rules for thee but not for me" kind
    of double-talker.

Larry Pietraskiewicz strikes me as the kind of moron who would react the
way retarded Elaine did on Seinfeld when those two tires were wobbling

It's hard to believe that we _ever_ tolerated such stuff.

As much as I never liked it, I would gladly put Windows 10 on this
machine since all of the hardware works fine with it (it came with 10).
In 11, the fingerprint driver sometimes decides not to work which turns
out to be a known problem, seemingly caused by the new security
features. The only thing stopped me from doing so is the fact that there
was a report just a few days ago on BleepingComputer highlighting that
such fingerprint readers were hacked fairly trivially. I could live with someone hacking into my machine, but not so much with them doing so and
then retrieving those fingerprint records for nefarious purposes.
