DDD is fantastic. I use it primarily to debug assembly code but I have
also used it to discover bugs in a few legacy FOSS C programs (which the >developers of same have thanked me richly).
It also can debug Perl and I may have to try that one day.

Note that DDD requires the Motif toolkit which is current on GNU/Linux.

The fonts are ugly and too small to read on my 4K monitor.
Looks like "old X11", which once can also see with the x11-apps
such as xedit.
You must have a small monitor.

and configure away.
