• z80pack minor release updates

From Udo Munk@21:1/5 to All on Thu Jul 29 12:17:11 2021
Since the last z80pack release 1.37 there has been a bunch of minor updates. I have not created a new release for these, but all changes are commited on Github:

    https://github.com/udo-munk/z80pack

David improved the AT modem and the Web GUI for the IMSAI 8080 replica,
the release note for the changes:

    https://github.com/thehighnibble/firmware/releases/tag/v1.7.0

These also were updated in z80pack. Then I have refactored the IMSAI SIO's, so that they all use the same configurations options. This is groundwork for a HAL which will allow to route the SIO's easier to some connector.

The RTC was modified, on reading the port it now returns the current time format instead of the last command, this is more useful.

A headless Cromemco machine was requested and is implemented. That allows to script the machine better without any manual interventions needed at a front panel.

Because headless IMSAI and Cromemco systems were requested I also modified the Altair so
that it can be compiled as headless machine without front panel. Changes are committed on
    GitHub.

The am9511 emulation from Fred Weigel has bin merged into z80pack, so far into the IMSAI
emulation only. As usual bits are committed on GitHub.

Then I have updated the disk image with Mark Williams XYBASIC in the z80pack repository,
it now also includes build submit and already build .com for the am9511.
As far as I know this is the only legacy software with am9511 support so far that survived
    until today.

We now have reached the state that it is possible to save/load with Mark Williams XYBASIC
to the virtual paper tape puncher/reader included in the Web GUI of the IMSAI 8080 emulation.
Everything is committed on GitHub in the z80pack repository for anyone to try this out.
It is really cool, special for those who don't want or can't restore some old teletype physical
machine, they are heavy and noisy. For the younger ones this gives you some idea about
how it was to operate the old machines with paper tape.
