From chuckJ@21:1/5 to All on Thu Oct 5 08:45:10 2017
    Hey guys!!!

I used Coherent 3.2(?) "back in the day."
It ran on a '286!!! I still have the manual.

Anyway, I have set up the Udo Munk VM on my laptop. One piece of software that I always wanted was /rdb.

There was a /rdb sold for Coherent. Does anyone have access to the Coherent version?

I have their book _UNIX_Relational_Database_Management_ (1988!) but I would sure love to play with it on a Coherent system.

    many thanks!
    Chuck

I used /rdb and probably have the manual and floppy disks. No idea if the disks still are readable and I don't have a machine with drives left. Sometime I need to get
some USB floppy disk drives and try to image the disks. Unfortunately there is sooo
    much stuff to do...

    Best regards,
    Udo

I was hoping you would post!!

I downloaded a pdf of the manual from your site. It's a lot like the book.

If you happen to find a floppy drive sometime it would be nifty to try out the original /rdb
    :-)

    Thanks!

You could try this on the 4.2 VM:

    http://www.staff.amu.edu.pl/~apopiele/cohrdb.html

That would have been perfect but it requires a Username and Password to obtain.

    Thanks for trying :-)

Use anonymous ftp, user = anonymous and password = some email address.
