• Two keyboards at one X server with different keyboard layouts

From Steve Keller@21:1/5 to All on Tue Sep 20 08:03:55 2016
I can attach two keyboards (e.g. USB) to an X server and both will
send key presses to the X server.

But is it possible to configure different keyboard layouts for each
keyboard? With xmodmap I can specify "-display" but it seems there is
no way to have multiple keymaps for multiple keyboards.

With xkbcomp you can specify a device ID with switch -i. You get these IDs
from "xinput list". I never tried to do this, though.
