    Hello, and I'm not sure I understand. Doesn't this device come with
    software that recognizes standard MIDI commands? I presume the MIDI
    input to the device is via either the traditional DIN connector or USB.
    Connect the synthesizer to an audio amp & speaker and cable your MIDI sequencer/DAW platform or MIDI keyboard/controller to the synthesizer
    MIDI input connector and have at it. Sincerely,

    Sadly, it came with no real software (there is a library
    for using it with the Arduino on github) and it came with
    no documentation. I compiled and ran the examples from
    github so I know it actually works when driven by the
    Arduino but when I hook my keyboard up to the MIDI IN DIN
    connector, nothing.

    I'll play with it some more today.

    Success!! Seems there is a solder pad that connects the synth to
    either the Arduino or "ALT MIDI". ALT MIDI is the DIN Jack. Having
    now tested it with my keyboard I am pretty sure it will work for my
    real project which is to convert my old Baldwin into something usable
    again.
