Recommend Wakey.

It keeps the screen lit up based on which app is in use. It has a list
of all your apps, and you check which ones you want. I checked all my
maps programs. Also has Stay on while Charging.

It was easier to set up before I paid than after... I couldnt' get Based
on which App to stick. But after a while I got it. Something about
Downloaded Apps had to be set. See next thread.

During the free 3 days, it would still dim for 3 or 4 seconds and then
light up again. I"m surprised at that but I don't mind much. Haven't
tried it since I paid.

It costs $2, but you have 3 days to try it for free.

I've had two phones where I wanted the screen to stay on. The Samsung
had a setting, Stay on while charging. It seemed to have no effect. It
would dim and I'd have to squeeeze the on/off button to get it to light
up again. Very hard while driving.

The Xiaomi has the same setting, and it would still go dim. I'd only
have to touch the screen for it to light up again, but when driving
that's a nuisance, and if the car bumps, as it always does, and I touch
it twice, the second touch changes what's on the screen. Then I have to
put the screen back the way it was, while driving.

Wakey should solve all this.
