• Will The =?UTF-8?B?4oCcLmlv4oCd?= Domain Cease To Exist?

Lots of tech/geek-oriented sites have been registering domains in the
“.io” top-level country domain (ccTLD). This represents the British
Indian Ocean Territory. Trouble is, as Britain hands over the Chagos
Islands to Mauritius, this Territory will no longer exist. And the
usual consequence of this is that the corresponding ccTLD is deleted
    as well.

Think about other domains like .su - they also still exist, even if the
    state doesn't exist anymore.
If there are people willing to operate the servers and get money for
running the registry, I assume it will continues to exist.

I don’t think there is anything registered under .su any more. .cs (the former Czechoslovakia) and .yu (ditto Yugoslavia) both seem to have
    completely disappeared.

This TLD still exists and new domains can be registered. https://www.reg.ru/domain/new/SU

They seem to be dead because no NS records exists for it.
Same applies for dd (GDR, but I dunno if that was ever in use).
