• Cox.net and Eudora Pro v. 7X no longer working

    I checked email using Eudora Pro last night at approximately 19:00 and it worked just fine.

    And then I checked Eudora Pro just before midnight before retiring for the evening and could not check my mail.

    I got the error messages:
    SSL negotiation failed. The connection with the server has been lost (Cause
    5)

    I remembered that sometimes ISP's change SSL certificates so I went to that area on Eudora Pro to check for the last SSL connection. It was empty.

    I called Cox. They insisted nothing had changed. He did tell me that Cox email accounts have been spammed and compromised.

    I called a friend of mine who uses the same version of Eudora Pro as I and
    he experienced the same types of error messages.

    Has anyone found a work around for this?

    I've been using Eudora Pro since BEFORE version 1.5 and would hate to have
    to give it up.
