The above seems to address the changes in Yahoo email. I knew I had
read this somewhere but just now refound it. I captured just the part
about using Thunderbird but I would this this would be similiar to
    Agent?

    Access mail via Thunderbird
Remove your Yahoo account and set it up again in the Thunderbird email
    client.

Go to Tools | Account Settings.
Select your account in the list.
Go to Account Actions at the bottom left.
    Click Remove Accounts.
Click Add Accounts and type in the email address and password.
    - Thunderbird will then automatically activate the secure sign-in
    method for your account.
Read more on removing and re-adding accounts in Thunderbird.

    From the above web page:

Generate and manage third-party app passwords

    Some older, third-party email apps

(that do not use our Yahoo branded sign in page) require you to enter
a single password for login credentials. To access your Yahoo Mail
account on these apps, you'll need to generate and use an app
password. An app password is a long, randomly generated code that
gives a non-Yahoo app permission to access your Yahoo account. You’ll
only need to provide this code once to sign in to your third-party
    email app.

You should not remove your email account from Yahoo web page. That is
    not the problem.

The problem is Yahoo and several other email suppliers are increasing
their security and changing the protocols they feel are necessary to
try and stop hacking of email accounts.

I have never tried to use Yahoo with Eudora so I don't know anything
    about that issue.

I don't think TB has an _automatic_ way of _looking up_ server details; however, it has the details for many common ISPs built into it. (These
of course go out of date; if you use an older version of TB and the ISP
has changed their server details - names _or_ protocols - you'll have to
set them up manually and _not_ accept what it suggests.)

For people who use the Web based Yahoo mail you might consider this
tip. I use this for my wife's email since she uses Firefox and the web
based interface. She no longer gets the ad on the side in her email.
It has worked for a year so far.

One thing I notice when the LG V20 mail App quit working with Yahoo
mail. When I installed the Yahoo App, my wife now gets Ads in the
middle of her emails. The LG and Samsung mail Apps some way prevented
these Ads from appearing. My wife said she could live with the few ads

I wouldn't try. The whole idea behind those "app specific" passwords is that they are customized for each application you use to connect, rather
than being something that might be used in multiple places.
