    What's so good about UUCP? I would like a news network that I can
    use with a news reader without SPAM.

    For some of us, UUCP is the ONLY way we can even GET newsgroups. That
    and the fact that the BBS I am posting this from is DOS based (yet
    accessible from the Internet), UUCP is the only way it can transport newsgroups and email.
