• SAFE pseudo domains in "TLD flood" era - HOW?

From Andrzej Adam Filip@21:1/5 to All on Tue Mar 2 13:18:06 2021
How should sendmail.cf mark pseudo TLD domains (.UUCP, .BITNET, .DECNET,
    .FAX) in "TLD flood" era?

I am 100% sure sooner or later some pseudo TLD domains will be handled
    by DNS.

I have loads of these "new" tlds in my access file .capital .cyou and whatnot. Might actually be interesting to see who's using .uucp and check some mails first :-)

Maybe ask the IETF to register those pseudo TLDs as resereved --
look for a newer version of draft-chapin-rfc2606bis-00?

    What about *NEW* pseudo domains?

IMHO specific trailing operator-char may be a good idea e.g.

    mylist@example.net.MAILMAN3^
    *OR*
    mylist@example.net^MAILMAN3

It would allow nice "TLD safe" redirects in aliases and virtusertable.
