I am having trouble with alpine and google-chrome on a Linux (mageia
7.1) machine. Alpine 2.11, google-chrome google-chrome-stable-84.0.4147.135

It is two fold:
On my machine when I hit return on an address in the email in alpine, google-chrome either opens (if there is no version running) or opens a
new window in a running version of chrome. But in alpine I get an error
message written over a couple of the lines in the email

[1010/191058.206318:ERROR:nacl_helper_linux.cc(308)] NaCl helper process running without a sandbox!
Most likely you need to configure your SUID sandbox correctly

I have tried various things to try to get this not to occur.

In .pinerc
url-viewers="/opt/google/chrome/google-chrome --disable-setuid-sandbox _URL_"

The error message still comes up.
I tried to put a 2>/dev/null onto the end of that line (before the end
double quote) but that also made no difference.

The web page does display it seems without problem, but the errors and scribbling all over the alpine mail display is annoyin.


The second (similr?) problem. alpine on another computer (the one that
the mail actually comes into and stored ) I hit return on a link there.
after about 10 seconds a chrome page comes up, but there is nothing
written on that page. At the same time, a bunch of error messages appear
in teh terminal in which I am running alpine

When I close the empty window I get more errors

Any hints as to how these errors can be fixed.
