I have not used xHarbour for years due to many laptop crashes.

Is there a document telling how to get started fresh and free? I am getting older and my memory is not completely bringing back all of the setup. I need the C compiler, too. My programs will be for my personal use only and I don't have to have much in
the way of modern technology, but I don't really want any sort of crippleware. I just want to compile and modify my old program files.

I believe everything you need is here:
    http://www.xharbour.org/

Mel's site (whosaway.com) has the bleeding edge stuff, including readmes on how to build things.
