  • USB printer recommendations?

    My client purchased an HP LaserJet Pro M501 USB printer, but I can't
    get it to work in an xHarbour app. Prior printer was a Kyocera
    FS-4000DN that worked fine but died. I've tried several different
    drivers for the HP printer but no luck. Can someone recommend a low
    cost USB printer that works in the xHarbour environment? Or maybe a recommendation on how to get the HP printer to work?

    What OS? I assume the Kyocera was an older printer than had no new driver updates.

    How are you selecting the printer in the application? How do you reference it code? Are you depending on an LPT1: mapping of anything?

    Hi Scott:
    I use an HP Envy Series inkjet Printer: Model 6455E . It is USB plus Wireless.
    Works great on my Win 10 Laptop. Also works with a Harbour app. But I haven't checked it on an xHarbour app yet.
    But I'm running a series of txt2gdi print jobs and testing output. Seems to work as expected.
    I bought this machine in Arizona a few months ago for $159.99 + Tax

    worked.
