Protip: Don't switch between awk and C during the same day. You end up
missing semicolons in C and incorrect type declarations in awk. Among
other things.
I have written C on and off for 20 years or so and I started trying to
learn more than superificial uses of awk recently. Their similarities
are both helpful and super annoying at the same time.
