is still alive and well. BCPL was of course based on (and intended as a
systems programming language for the development of?) CPL, which I note
you have also made a post on. The webpage includes a link to a compiler,
to Richards' derivative language MCPL, and to his home page, where there
are links to several articles on both BCPL and how it was evolved from
CPL.
