From Chuck Jackson@21:1/5 to All on Sun Nov 13 18:34:21 2022
    Hey guys
I'm reading through the LaForth manual and wondering if it is hosted anywhere on the interwebs. I've not been successful with my searches but I would like to play with it in a DosBox if anyone could point me to a copy.

I promise I won't ask if there are any Locals in LaForth </grin>

Not 100% sure, but didn't that thing called „LaForth” evolve into eForth?

I don't think so. From what I've read so far of the LaForth manual, it is VERY different from eForth.

It seems very different from all of the early Forths, also. That is one reason I'd like to find a copy of it and run it to experience it.
    Thanks

Other than the DOS version being distributed by Ting, there doesn't seem
to be a connection. Don't know if a zip of the disk contents was released
when Ting closed his business. Both principal authors appear to have passed on. In 1979 it may well have been radical but looks rather tame today.

Points 11 and 15 from the Introduction *might* lead to an interesting discussion.
The rest has seeped into (most) mainstream Forth implementations.
