At the Dutch Forth Chapter we have a few of the FORML proceedings.
and Forth Rochester conference proceedings. 1)

They seem not available. You could buy an antiquary 1981 FORML
in amazon for 200 dollar. If you buy it, then the last item is
    gone.

We have donated most books owned by the chapter to a University
library, with the outcome that after a mere 5 years they disappeared.

Is this material on the verge of being lost?

In particular I'm chasing the original Basic compiler published
by Chuck Moore himself in FORML 1981, to compare it with
    the Perry version.

It's possible, but not necessarily; it may be in some unknown private hands. During past years I've bought on Amazon numerous books on Forth and
about one-third of them have library labels or stamps. Yes, if I'm correct probably all of these labels come from university libraries.

They teach 'C' (and derivatives) at universities, so they don't need Forth there.

    A shame.

I have a health library here to lend out to people, and didn't donate it you the local library due to the same issue.

There is archive.org/google books, but there needs to be a centralised sponsored depository. Sometimes governments might archive, like in America.

We have some in our group's library: <http://www.complang.tuwien.ac.at/cgi-bin/bibsearch?search=FORML>

In particular I'm chasing the original Basic compiler published

This one is not among them.

I believe it's the original Albert wants to see. The Perry article
    gives as its reference:

Mike Perry published it in Forth Dimension, given proper credit to Chuck

This is Mike Perry's version for sure, only converted from screens.

You can find this in github in the f83 repository.
I would be interested to find out what the difference is
between this and the original published by Chuck Moore
    in FORML.
