    1. acquisition?
    2. analysis?

    P.S. As an undergrad EE student in early 60's I worked as an electronic
    tech for a Veterinary professor doing electroencephalograms in portions
    of a cat's brain.

    There *IS* a difference between acquisition and analysis ;
    OR, based on your followup post, are you closing a control loop?
