    While Google is shutting down their operation, comp.lang.forth will
    continue on. Find a Usenet server.

    comp.lang.forth has never been managed. :-)

    NovaBBS provides Usenet (including comp.lang.forth) access.

    Discord doesn't. It seems to be another attempt (after the Facebook
    group one) to collect Google Groups users who are unaware that
    comp.lang.forth exists independently of Google Groups (and also
    independently of the spam rampant on the Google Groups mirror of comp.lang.forth).

    and their Feldwebel have moved to FB.

    THIS is not Google Groups, THIS is Usenet, and it's not shutting down,
    only Google's embrace-extend-commercialize attempt foundered finally.

    When Usenet is no longer accessible via Google's servers, the deluge of
    spam will cease by itself-

    It can only be beneficial for the whole community when people learn
    again to access Usenet via regular news servers, and learn to use proper
    news readers.

    If your internet provider does not offer news server access, there is a
    viable alternative at

    requiring only a registration via e-Mail. Otherwise, it's free (as in
    free beer) and free (as in free speech).
