    I have set

    -labelcommand tablelist::sortByColumn

    to allow sorting the columns in general.

    Now if sorting does not make sense on a specific column, is there a way
    to inhibit sorting on that specific tablelist column? Just like setting -showlinenumbers for that column, only w/o setting it.

    I found only -sortcommand, but this still sorts the table.
    Something like "-sortmode none" ...

    I have implemented this, it is straight forward.
    I suppose, you can just set the option to distinct labels and not to all
    of them. I think, there is an example about that.

    Sorry, no time now, take care,

    Asa mentioned by Harald, the easiest solution is to use the
    -labelcommand option at column rather than global level.

    Thanks, that's it.

    Why is it you don't see the simple solution until you've posted the
    question? :-)

    Merry christmas to all of you and a happy new year!
