Just started having problem with mscomctl.ocx.
I have 3 programs which I wrote more than 3 years ago, and up until
now if I wanted to change anything they would load into the VB6 IDE
with no problems and I could make any changes I wished.
Suddenly, however, if I try to load any of these programs into the IDE
I receive a dialog stating
'C:\Windows\SysWow64\Mscomctl.ocx' could not be loaded--Continue
Loading Project?
If I reply Yes then I get a dialog stating Errors during load. Refer
to ...log for details.
I select OK and get another dialog stating Errors during load.
Selecting OK leads to this dialog being repeated about 7 or 8 times
until the code loads into the IDE.
I then select Projects - Components to add mscomctl.ocx but when
selecting this to be added I receive a dialog again stating 'C:\Windows\SysWow64\Mscomctl.ocx' could not be loaded
The entries in the .log file are:
Line 36: Class MSComctlLib.ImageList of control il1 was not a loaded
control class.
Line 45: Class MSComctlLib.TreeView of control tv1 was not a loaded
control class.
The ocx is present in SysWow64, and RegDllView shows that the ocx is registered.
