    Version 1.0.1 is available containing a fix for problem with
    self-defining structures (bug 509). The problem is too complex to
    summarize, but it may result in a SIGSEGV at run time trying to access
    these structures.

    The documentation has not been updated from the 1.0.0 level, only the executables have been modified. The download page now points to the
    updated packages. To verify that you have the correct version ./plic -V
    should indicate 1.0.1.
