Iron Spring Software introduces a pre-alpha version of the
Iron Spring PL/I Preprocessor (ISPP).
ISPP is intended to be a backward-compatible version of the IBM 2.3 preprocessor, with a few features borrowed from IBM Enterprise PL/I and
other sources.
ISPP has successfully run a number of tests, and has produced the same
output as the preprocessor from IBM VisualAge PL/I for Windows.
Unfortunately the amount of working preprocessor code available for
testing is limited. As a pre-alpha ISPP is liable to produce incorrect
output or fail spectacularly in unanticipated circumstances.
We will be preforming additional testing, and adding a few features that should improve usability. Nevertheless we are releasing it now in hope
that people with interest or experience in using the PL/I preprocessor
will experiment with it and provide feedback. No guarantees are made, expressed or implied.
Currently ISPP is Linux-only. An OS/2 version should follow shortly.
ISPP can be downloaded from our download page: http://www.Iron-Spring.com/download/
Bugs should be reported to:
mailto:bu...@iron-spring.com?Subject=ISPP
(success reports welcomed also)
The link gives a 404.
