    Hello.

    Why does YouTube's iOS app require camera and microphone access when I
    only want to upload my recorded videos? Vimeo, Instagram, Facebook,
    etc.'s apps don't do this in my iPhone. Am I missing something?

    Because Google is a spy company that wants to know more about you.
    Can't you just use Safari to access YT on your iOS device?

    It is and annoying to upload and edit in my iPhone 6+ (iOS v12.5.5). :(

    It's probably because the youtube apps allows you to record and edit a
    video in-app.

    But frankly, you should really not use their app to access that website.
    It's very insidious.
