• I see ads in Safari and Chrome, but not in Firefox

From Dudley Brooks@21:1/5 to All on Tue Nov 29 10:47:37 2022
I'd been using Firefox for years, and never got ads with any videos.

When I switched to Safari I suddenly started seeing ads. I tried
    Chrome, and also see ads.

I don't remember what I did in Firefox to not see ads -- it was so long ago.

Maybe it's because I have a YouTube channel?

But Safari shows me logged in as my channel, and it still presents ads.

Maybe the qualifying info to not receive ads is stored in some cookie
that Firefox has access to, but not the other browsers?

Anyway ... what do I look for and what do I do to get equally ad-free in
    Safari and Chrome?

I don't really use an ad blocker in Firefox. I *have* one ... but I
    don't use it.

And in Firefox I see *all* YouTube videos ad-free ... without having to
    do anything.

Perhaps I should start using an ad blocker in Safari and one in Chrome
... but then I'd have to turn it on for every individual YouTube video
that has ads ... and that would be almost as time-consuming and
irritating as putting up with the ads.

I wish I could remember what I did that got rid of *all* ads when using Firefox.
