Aside from the Veronica search and NOAA weather tools on floodgap.com
I find regular use for Gopherpedia (gopher://gopherpedia.com/7/lookup)
and Gopherddit (gopher://gopherddit.com/).
Would love to learn of other Gopher-based services.

Directions gopher://tilde.pink/1/~bencollver/dir/
GameFAQs gopher://tilde.pink/1/~bencollver/gamefaqs/
Recipes gopher://tilde.pink/1/~bencollver/recipes/
I have ideas for more, but haven't gotten around to it.

Hey Ben,
I was going to post your recipes db. But since you already did that, let
me just say thanks for putting it together, it's been useful to me!

I created a gopher search engine: gopher://gopher.icu/1/quarry
There are several services listed in addition to the search
functionality:
* Gutenberg book search
* Podcast search
* Wikipedia search (gopherpedia)
* Youtube search
* Veronica II search
* Recipe search
* Directions search (google maps)
The first two are my own work, the others I have added for
convenience.
I also made a vote/polling system: gopher://gopher.icu/1/poll
Enjoy!

Thanks so much to everyone,
is there a wiki or someplace that we can keep all this gopher links?
will be nice to have them all together.

This gives me Yahoo Directory vibes. When Yahoo tried to list all
websites in categories and indexes. We see what happened to Yahoo, a
search engine approach might scale better.

In fact there's Phiki, a Wiki on Gopher. Nobody seems to use it
though.

I used to find DMOZ (now curlie.org) much more helpful than web
searches for this sort of thing. Unfortunately many categories
became unmaintained and thus increasingly incomplete, although I
see that the Gopher section has been touched this year:

These are useful for ham radio operators and shortwave listeners
to estimate the impact of solar activity on HF radio propagation.

This is great thank you,
do you know of any Satellite and ham radio amateur newsgroups?

rec.radio.* should be a good starting point. A few of those
newsgroups actually get NOAA reports posted there too.
