• [searx] Random Searx Redirector showing 1 engine, only.

From Michael Uplawski@21:1/5 to All on Sun Oct 10 11:18:28 2021
    Good morning.

I used to pas by the page
    https://searx.neocities.org/nojs.html
    to search the Web.

For a while the list of available searx instances has been shrinking and
today there remains only 1 single “alternative” at searx.mha.fi.
This appears to be the same instance which is used from https://searx.neocities.org/, meaning javascript-enabled searx
    instances.

As some other searx-engines are still available, noably
searx.gnu.style/search or searx.gnous.eu/search, I have tried to contact <kartoshki@protonmail.com>, the address from the changelog searx.neocities.org/changelog.html

For three or four days, I have not received a response.
At the same time, the instance stats at
searx.neocities.org/instancescores.html show 7 active instances “in the green” (I do not know what negative percentages mean), where
serax.mha.fi is only the highest ranked.

Question: Do you think that the redirector is simply dysfunctional or is
there a problem with the disappearing searx-instances ?

Or maybe I am just the only one interested.

    Peace.

    Michael
